Military flights banned

Defense Minister of Belarus imposed a ban on all flights of the Armed Forces aviation.

The reason for this was the crash of Su-25 aircraft in Navahrudak district, Hrodna voblast. The ban will be in force until the end of the investigation into the causes of the disaster. Meanwhile, the military aviation will participate in the military parade to mark Independence Day on July 3.

As Telegraf previously reported, June 12, Su-25 aircraft of the 116th Air Base crashed during the scheduled flights at the air training area in Navahrudak district. Pilot Nikolai Gridnev died.

Investigation Committee of Belarus initiated criminal proceedings over the crash of Su-25 military aircraft. The case was opened under Part 1 of Article 465 of the Penal Code (violation of flight rules or preparation for them, or violation of other rules of operation of military aircraft, negligently caused human death or other grave consequences).
