Political prisoner Malchanau informed about mother's death only yesterday

He had not been able to receive the telegram for four days - until his lawyer's visit.

Malchnau's lawyer met him in Zhodzina detention centre on June 13. And Malchanau received the telegram that informed him about his mother's death only on Wednesday. However, Halina Malchanava died on Friday night, June 9.

According to the political prisoner's acquaintances, he restrained himself in the lawyer's presence after the sad news. He said that his mother had been ill. Answering the question about his health condition, the political prisoner said that "his back ached".

Meanwhile, the reason for Halina Malchanava's death has been announced - coronary deficiency. Better to say - she "had a heart attack". The 64-year-old woman died while using her computer at night.

Let us remind you that Alyaksandr Malchanau tried to appeal his sentence - 1.5 years of imprisonment for stealing scrap metal. The appeal has not been considered yet so the sentence cannot come into power and the prisoner cannot be considered  a convict.
