Witch-hunt began?

An activist of Our Home civil campaign, Tatsyana Yakauleva, was detained in Orsha on suspicion of terrorism.

Orsha police detained Yakauleva at the central bus station as she arrived from Vitebsk. The activist was taken to a city police department. Policemen said she was carrying trinitrotoluene (TNT).

Yakauleva was going to visit the village of Kokhanava in the Talachyn district (30 km from Orsha), where campaign activists organized children's fishing content and a walking tour down the river Sakalyanka.

Tatsyana Yakauleva carried reflectors and t-shirts with Our Home logo for participants of the event.

The activist is reported to have been searched by police. The did not find TNT, but said Yakauleva had too many t-shirts (29 items) without necessary documents. The activist replied it was a gift, not a crime. The activist was released after three hours in the police department.

The website of the campaign says Tatsyana Yakauleva was detained by senior sergeant Valyantin Khromau and questioned by major Uladzimir Voukau.

However, a police report was signed by different policemen – junior sergeants Aladzyeu and Leanovich. Suspicions of terrorism were not mentioned in the report.
