Dictator about the dismissal of generals: We didn’t punish them enough

In Soviet times for such things they would be put behind bars, said Lukashenka.

Aliaxandar Lukashenka has appointed Colonel Aliaxandar Baechka the Chairman of the State Border Committee of the Republic. Aliaxey Zagarodniy was appointed the First Deputy Chairman of the State Border Committee – the chief of the main operational management. Aliaxandar Baechka previously held this position.

Appointing a new head of the State Border Committee, Lukashenka said that the violations of the state border should not be unpunished and must be prevented by all means, told to BelTA.

He noted that some mistake was the adoption of a number of decisions that contributed to the shift in focus of the State Border Committee from the immediate task of guarding the border to some sort of border policy. "These decisions were made by a certain insistence of the administration of the State Border Committee. However, this does not mean that we should not keep our borders shut. This is wrong that we have made politicians out of military people who were supposed to guard the border", - said the dictator.

Lukashenka commented on recent decisions. "With regard to recent decisions, including staff decisions, there is no emergency in that. On the contrary – we didn’t punish them enough. In Soviet times for such things they would be put behind bars. Border guards are guilty in the first place, because they found the plane, but the corresponding command to punish the violators of the border didn’t pass", - said Lukashenka.

"Violations of the border shouldn’t be unpunished. They need to be stopped by all means, including weapons, no matter what, - said Alexander Lukashenko. - Border guards have to prove their loyalty to the fatherland. You know my personal attitude towards the border troops, and I will not allow mess their epaulettes that I and my children wore".

Recall, on July 31, after an incident with the "Swedish troopers", Aliaxander Lukashenka dismissed the Chairman of the State Border Committee Igor Raczkowski and the Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces Dmitry Pahmelkin, a number of heads of security agencies have been reprimanded .

Early in the morning on July 4 Swedish light aircraft dropped teddy bears with slogans in support of democracy over Belarus. In its turn, the Belarusian Defense Ministry stated that there were no violations of the airspace and called the video posted in the Internet, which proves the opposite, a falsification. Only a few days ago, the Belarusian ruler acknowledged the intervention of the Swedish aircraft.
