Lukashenka's palace: Gilded doors and luxury parquet floors

A square metre of luxury flooring for the dictator's new residence costs $2,000.
Russian company Art Parquet installed parquet flooring and doors in the Palace of Independence, the company's website reports.
According to the company, the total square of the parquet floor was 3,600 square metres with the cost of up to $2,000 per square metre.
The company's website informs the Palace of Independence has many rooms and halls, at least 45 rooms only on the ground floor.
The dictator's new residence has a big and small banquet halls, a multipurpose hall, a hall for special events and official meetings, a press centre, conference rooms and a hall for award ceremonies.
The Russian company also installed 260 doors in the Palace of Independence. According to the information on the website, 14 doors are 4 metres high, and 6 doors are more than 4.3 metres high. The wooden doors are decorated with gilded carved ornament and platinum.
The dictator's new residence also has gold chandeliers of world famous chandelier manufacturer Faustig.
