Administrative protocol after Belsat video

Administrative protocol after Belsat video

A district policeman Siarhei Karytkin came again to the home of a former member of Bialynichy district Council, a resident of Lebiadzianka village Valer Vusik today.

The reason for the visit of the policeman of the Bialynichy police department was the composition of another protocol of an administrative violation which Valer Vusik allegedly commited during the visit of Belsat TV channel’s filming crew to the local agricultural enterprise Lebiadzianka on 28 February 2013, the human rights center Viasna reports.

Today before lunch the district policeman Siarhei Karytkin visited me again, - Valer Vusik tells. – He composed another protocol against me for an administrative violation, this time on the appeal of a tractor driver of Lebiadzianka enterprise Mikhail Bialou. By the way, Bialou is a nephew of the chairman of Lebiadzianka Piotr Bialou. In the protocol Siarhei Karytkin wrote that on 28 February, when we together with a Belsat filming crew visited the animal farm of Lebiadzianka, I “used foul language” there towards Mikhail Bialou, “did not react to the suggestions to calm down” and also “waved my hands” and  “threatened with physical violence” to him.

It is clear that I did none of these actions which I stated in the protocol. On the contrary, it was Mikhail Bialou who insulted me in different ways and call an “old marasmus patient”.

The journalist of the Belsat filming crew, who witnessed the events of 28 February, confirms that Valer Vusik behaved correctly.

“Valer Vusik led us to the territory of the animal farm of Lebiadzianka enterprise and I can testify that did committed no violations against Mikhail Bialou, - the journalist says. – On the contrary, it was Mikhail Bialou who tried to prevent us from shooting in different ways. We have several video shots of him insulting and provoking Valer Vusik. I personally promised Valerto be a witness in court on his side if there is a need”.

Valer Vusik is going to consult with human rights activists and appeal against Bialynichy policemen.

A human rights activist Uladzimir Krauchanka from Mahilou believes that the pressure on Valer Vusik on the part of the Bialynichy police will be only increasing for other citizens to see that no one is allowed to be civically active in any way and oppose the local authorities. According to Uladzimir Krauchanka, human rights activists will provide any assistance necessary to Valer Vusik.
