White’red’white flags at Pope’s enthronement

24

The ceremony of the new Pope’s enthronement has started in Rome.

Thousands of people from different countries of the world have gathered in the square before the St Peter’s Basilica. Belarusian national flags are flapping above the crowd.

We would remind that Benedict XVI’s successor, a cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio from Argentina, was elected on 13 March. The new pontiff belongs to the catholic order of the Jesuits. His predecessor, 265th Pope Benedict XVI voluntarily resigned the throne.
