Polish citizen has not been let out of Belarus for two weeks

A Polish citizen Tereza Strzelec has been detained in Belarus.

She has not been able to return home for two weeks. Her husband Jaroslaw Strzelec told about that absurd story, Polskie Radio reports.

A year ago Tereza Strzelec went to Minsk for an excursion. When he car broke, she left it at a maintenance service.

A son of the mechanic used the car without permission of the owner and was detained by police. The car was confiscated and sent to a customs’ storehouse. In January the court resolved that the car must be returned to the owners.

But the problem is that before the court’s proceedings customs officers sold Tereza Strzelec’s car. The Polish citizen was offered to get money back with the customs duty and taxes cut out of the sum. She refused to pay and the Belarusian party annulled her visa, having detained at the territory of our country.

“Why do I have to pay? Not only have they taken my car, detained my wife, now they demand money. We bought this car for 7200 and they demand a cosmic amount – 80 thousand of the customs duty. This is a blank robbery”, - Jaroslaw Strzelec told.

Tereza Strzelec has been in Belarus for two weeks. The case has been taken over by consular services.
