Public transport prices to go up to Br2300

Public transport fares in Minsk will increase two times in 2013.
This statement was made by Alyaksei Kasinki, the head of the passenger traffic department at the Minsk company responsible for public transport.
“The fares will rise twice: from Br1700 to Br2000 and from Br2000 to Br2300,” Kasinski said. He noted the date “has not been set yet, because the decision needs to be approved by the Ministry of Economy”.
According to earlier information, ticket prices for public transport in Minsk will increase up to Br2000 in the first quarter of the year. The head of the Minsk city executive committee, Mikalai Ladutka, says the transport fares must be Br5000. Tickets now cost Br1700.
