Deputy head of Lukashenka’s executive office cut his veins open in his office

A former deputy executive manager of Lukashenka’s office Anatol Dazorau committed a suicide attempt.

The son of the arrested director of the Belarus health resort confirmed the information that the former deputy executive manager of Lukashenka’s office opened his veins in his office.

The director of the Belarus health resort in Sochi Georgi Sarakashysh remains in the KGB pre-trial jail in Minsk. The relatives can only find anything out about him through the lawyer.

There have been no meetings, letters or phone contacts with him since the moment of the detention on 21 December last year, Radio Svaboda reports.

Georgi Sarakashysh’s son Kanstantsin claims that his father is not guilty of anything:

“Nothing will move the situation from the dead point until they tell Lukashenka that everything was in order, the construction works went perfectly, forestalling the schedule. Sometimes payments were not made, but the buildings had already been constructed. My father’s main goal is to finish this all by summer, for the Olympics, so all the complexes are in operational readiness. It all went to it and it would have been achieved. And now a new director comes and starts killing the health resort. As the result, people complain, the vacationers”.

According to Kanstantsin’s words, his father did what the officials from Lukashenka’s executive office wanted, asked for and ordered to do.

“They wanted to build a complex in Poliana – he was building it, for him to manage the pension Sea Star – he was managing it. They wanted for him to manage the health resort Belarus and Krasnaya Poliana – he was managing them. They wanted for him to build for them – he was building. Goodness knows what that is. The executive office asked for money for the construction and it was provided.

But the constructions have been crazy in the recent years in Sochi. It turned out that they had initially asked for too little money. In the current conditions building companies cannot build in Sochi for the money that was initially demanded. And when they came to ask for more money, they were told that there was no money and they should look for it wherever they wanted.

They decided to blame it on my father – allegedly he stole it so there was no money. They did not think that it was because the executive office changed their mind several times during the construction: a facility was being built, they would come and tell that they did not like it, for example a hall needed to be rebuilt. But no one thought that it brought additional losses. And my father did all that. He put all his time and health in order for all this to be built. Dazorau cut his veins open. Why do people do that? Because they have got afraid. In the end they have decided to blame it all on my father. Now they will kill the health resort, because the officials who came to manage it will hardly manage the workload. It was only my father who could do it well in 30 years but he ended up being a whipping boy”.

The wife of the KGB pre-trial jail’s prisoner Lola Sarakashysh says that she was informed over the phone about her husband’s detention on 21 December last year, after he had come to Minsk for a business trip. Aleksandr Kizim and a contractor of a building company were detained together with him.

- And now there is silence, there is no information. They will not allow a meeting, neither phone calls. I am going to write the first letter, I do not know whether it will reach him. I do not even know what he is being incriminated. Some crazy amounts are being named there. It is such a nightmare. For what I know, investigators do not even visit him. There interrogations lasted for 6-7 hours a day. They asked all the same. I know that before my husband’s trip to Minsk Korbut’s deputy cut his veins for some reason.  But why would he? Then Korbut randomly write an application to quit.

A former first deputy executive manager of the president’s office Anatol Dazorau was fired at the beginning of the year. Then the president executive office’s manager Mikalai Korbut quit. Viktar Sheiman was appointed for his position. There was information before that he attempted a suicide in his office.
