Uladzislau Barouski was accused of holding an unsanctioned picket.
Charter97.org has learnt it from human rights activist Raman Kislyak from Brest. The “guilt”of the activist was that he hung out a national white-red-white flag on the armoured truck memorial near Park of International Soldiers on March 18.
Uladzislau Barouski was 17 at the moment of committing the offence, so his case was heard by the juvenile commission at the administration of Brest's Maskouski district chaired by Zaitsava. The activist was found guilty of violating article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences and fined 50,000 rubles.
The Court of Brest's Maskouski district earlier issued a fine to Yauheny Khaziakhmetau and Andrei Sharenda, member of the organising committee to found the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, for hanging out a national Belarusian flag.
