Naftan spends half a million euros on cars

On 20 June the enterprise has announced the bidding for purchasing 23 cars with a good packaging arrangement.

The announcement of the purchase was registered at the National Center for marketing and Price Conjuncture with the number 2013-056563 as of 20.06.2013.

The state-owned public corporation wants to purchase 23 Liftback cars of grey metallic color, produced in 2013 at the expense of its own assets. The cars must have a front-wheel drive, the engine of not more than 1.8 liters and the power of no less than 180 HP. Air conditioning, heated seats, light-alloy wheels and other attributes of a far-from-basic packaging are, of course, obligatory.

The preferred brand of for the cars can be defined by the requested transmission DSG 7. Probably they mean cars by Volkswagen, Skoda or Audi.

Considering that state-owned enterprises cannot purchase cars over 25 thousand euros, the total sum for the projects tops at 575 000 euros.

We, like all the other citizens of Belarus, including the staff of the petrochemical giant, wonder, how these cars will be used. A charter97.org’s reporter addressed the public corporation Naftan asking to comment on such a major purchase, but they refused to reveal their secrets at the state-owned enterprise.

“We are a serious enterprise. Such issues are a commercial secret. All the necessary information is published on the web-site for state purchases”, - the head of the purchasing department Zhana Karejsha stated.

The public corporation Naftan receives bidding offers up until 15.30 on 18 July.
