We would remind that an Young Front activist Uladzimir Jaromienak was arrested in January 2011 as a suspect on the case on “mass disturbances”. He was sentenced for three years. He served the punishment term in a penal colony near Viciebsk. In August 2011 he was pardoned among others. Since then he ended up behind bars several times for administrative violations.

On 15 March 2013 the court of Minsk’s Piershamajski district extended the preventive supervision over the activist for another 6 months.

On 14 July on the Young Front activist’s wedding day an investigator gave him a call and insistently asked to show up on Monday. Jaromienak negotiated that the conversation was postponed for two days. On 16 July he was handed in a resolution on a criminal case being filed against him according to the article 421 “Violation of preventive surveillance” which dated back to 24 May.

It is also worth mentioning that on 12 July it became known that another criminal case was started against another activist, previously imprisoned for 19 December events, Vasil Parfiankou. Parfiankou was summoned to Minsk Piershamajski district’s police department, where he was told that the third consecutive criminal case was started against him for violating the preventive supervision requirements.
