Zhirinovsky proposes to supply arms to Syria via Belarus

Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), thinks it's possible to supply weapons to Syria via Belarus and Iran.

He made this remark on August 25 on air of the Russian New Service.

“The US will use the militant groups to hit Russia from the south and China from the west closer to 2020. We need to supply arms through Iran and Belarus to help the Syrian people to resist,” he said.

According to the LDPR leader, Syria is the last Arab country showing resistance to the US. “It [the US] wants to divide it. The US will deliver targeted strikes. The rest will be done by the Kurdish police and military. We won't get involved in a war with the US, we will fight against these militants,” Zhirinovsky said.
