FC Slavia players have no payment since June

A football club from Mozyr hasn't solved its financial problems yet.

Slavia's forward Denis Laptev, who led his team to a 1-0 victory over Torpedo-BelAZ in the 19th round of the country's championship, told it to Pressball newspaper.

“They don't have money. We don't receive wages. For example, we haven't received payment for June. I don't know when we'll get the pay. They say the debt may be paid soon,” the football player said answering the question whether the team would celebrate its victory over the Zhodzina-based club.

Problems with paying wages in FC Slavia started six months ago.

Yury Maleyeu, the head coach of the new team in the Belarusian Premier League, said in March that the main problem of his team was unstable financing. At the beginning of the year players even held some strikes refusing to appear at training sessions.
