Raviaka and Labkovich have been summoned to police

Viasna’s human rights activists are expected today at Minsk Soviet district’s police department.

Policemen made a call to Uladzimir Labkovich and Tacciana Raviaka yesterday evening. The human rights activists have to arrive to the police department today at 11 a.m., the human rights center Viasna reports.

We would remind that Tacciana Raviaka and Uladzimir Labkovich were detained on 5 August when distributing postcards with the image of a political prisoner Ales Bialiatski. They were taken to Minsk Soviet district’s police department, where protocols of administrative violations were composed for violating the article 23.34 of the Administrative Code (violation of the procedure of holding a mass event) and confiscated their cell phones.

However, the protocols were composed illiterately, so the judges sent them for being reworked.

Apparently, the administrative case will be later considered by the court of Minsk’s Soviet district.
