Dinamo Minsk blank Slovan for first win in new season

Dinamo Minsk finally picked up their first victory in the KHL 2013/14 season whitewashing Slovan Brastislava 2-0 in Minsk on 10 September, BelTA has learnt.

After two scoreless tight-checking periods, the score was finally opened early in the third stanza to the delight of almost 9,000 fans in attendance. Alexei Yefimenko broke Slovan's Miroslav Kopriva's shutout bid at 1:25 of the final period. Jacob Micflikier put the empty netter in the final seconds of the game.

Minsk goalie Lars Haugen turned away everything that reached the net to hand the Bratislava team their third straight loss in the new season.

Dinamo Minsk wrap up their home series with a match against Lev Praha on 12 September.
