Belarusians ready to fight for independence (Video)

Vox pop interviews in Minsk street defy the myth about peacefulness of the Belarusians.

Nasha Niva journalists interviewed people in the Belarusian capital asking them “Are you ready to fight for Belarus's independence?” Most answers were yes. Here are some of them:

– Yes, if it is needed.

– I will be happy to fight for Belarus's independence.

– I think yes. All of us are a part of the country.

– Of course I will fight for my country.

– Of course, as any person liable to military service. It's natural.

– Let's hope it won't be needed, but it is a duty of every person, every citizen.

– I live in this country, this is my homeland, I've grown up here. My forefathers fought for this country. I think it's my duty to fight for it.

– Our ancestors taught us to fight for our country. We need to do it, otherwise there's no sense in living.
