The Lithuanian accused of spying in favor of Belarus

A heinous criminal case has been brought to trial today.

The citizen of Lithuania is accused of spying, said General Prosecutor Office on Monday. After long term intelligence operation of the State Security Department the case has been brought to district court in Vilnius, reports ru.delfi.lt.

The name of accused is kept in secret. He is known by initials R.L.

The intelligence operation showed that R.L. was collecting the information in favor of Belarus. The sources informed 15min.lt that the information was not connected both with policy and politicians.

During afternoon on Monday Darius Raulushaitis, Deputy Prosecutor General, Gediminas Green, the Head of State Security Department, and Rolandas Kishkis, the Head of Criminal Police Bureau of Lithuania, will provide with more information.
