Dictator demands to “analyze” work of leading mass media

Lukashenka demands urges to build the system of ideological work “in accordance with dictates of the time.”

He made the statement as he introduced newly-appointed Head of the Belarusian presidential Administration Alyaksandr Kasinets (Alexander Kosinets), BelTA informs.

“Immediate contact with people is important in ideological work,” he said. He believes that it is essential to think over and organize informational work wisely.

Lukashenka also noted that it is necessary to once again analyze the work of leading mass media.

“They should use creative approaches, focus on serious, convincing, understandable information, analytical programs. Television should not only entertain, but also explain, and even educate and form people,” he believes.

We remind that on December 21 Lukashenka signed a law “On Amendments to the Law of Belarus “ON Mass Media”. Now any online resources are considered are regarded as equal to mass media and could be blocked by a decision of the Information Ministry. As a result, 7 Belarusian websites including charter97.org were blocked.
