Zmitser Dashkevich detained

On April 24 in the evening Zmitser Dashkevich was detained by police near the entrance to his house.

The detention of Zmitser Dashkevich became known due his wife Anastasiya Dashkevich’s post on Facebook.

“He told his things are searched. And he told that most likely he is to be taken to custody,” she wrote.

After a while Anastasiya informed she could not get through to Zmitser.

“And this completes the proof. The phone is switched off. I assume, we are to meet in the court of Pershamajski district tomorrow,” she said.

The activist believes his arrest is associated with the upcoming “Chernobyl Way” (Charnobylski Shlyakh) opposition rally and the Ice Hockey championship which is to be held in Minsk in May.
