Putin's second “convoy” ready to enter Ukraine

White KamAZ trucks are loaded, but there's no information what they carry.

It was said by Ihor Bilous, the head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, at a press conference on Monday, Unian reports.

“The Russians plan another humanitarian convoy. It was an idea that the cargo would be delivered by train. But we have information that it will be delivered by trucks. It is now in the Russian Federation. We do not know what the trucks carry,” the head of Ukraine's Fiscal Service said.

According to Bilous, the second humanitarian convoy is likely to enter the country using the same border checkpoints that the previous one. He added the fiscal service had recalled its officers from Russia who were supposed to check the cargo.

“We formed a team in Russia consisting of nearly 50 people. We sent them to Russia to check the convoy. They are now returning, because staying [in Russia] is not safe for them. We wait for instructions from Russia,” Bilous said. He noted the deputy head of the fiscal service responsible for customs policy, Anatoliy Makarenko, would say details in the nearest days.

Russia unilaterally sent the first column consisting of 280 trucks carrying “humanitarian aid” to the Donbas region. On August 22, Russian KamAZ trucks entered Ukraine through Izvarino border checkpoint controlled by militants. The Red Cross said their representatives did not accompany the Russian convoy to Ukraine contrary to previous agreements. On August 24, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine said the trucks of the Russian “humanitarian”convoy took equipment from Ukraine's strategic plants.
