Yatsenyuk's People's Front initiates termination of ceasefire in Donbas

Members of the parliamentary group filed the relevant appeal to president Petro Poroshenko.

The People's Front group suggests cancelling the truce in eastern Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

As the news agency learnt from MP Roman Zastavniy, the proposal was sent to president Petro Poroshenko.

“We need to take the absolutely different position. The one that our enemies deserve. This is not only my position. Most of the group members think so,” the MP stressed.

Zastavniy thinks the parliament should have a meeting behind closed doors to discuss the issue.

According to the command centre of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO), the situation in the conflict zone is still tense, but the number of attacks of militants on Ukrainian troops has decreased.

One soldier was killed and 17 were wounded in the ATO zone yesterday. The situation at the Donetsk airport and the neighbouring district remains tense.
