In 2015 the news programme of the ONT channel is hosted by other journalists.

“Thank you, I do not grant interviews,” the TV presenter Alyaksandr Averkau (Alexandr Averkov) said himself, do not even listening to the question of “Nasha Niva” reporter.

The press-service of ONT channel explained that 5 or 6 journalists are going to try on the role of hosts of Kontury (Outlines) programme. “We have many talented young people. You are going to see almost all our team,” they said.

This casting is a temporary occasion. It’s up to the management of the TV channel whether Averkau is going to return to “Kontury” afterwards. At the moment Averkau could be seen in the news broadcasts.

The last time Alyaksandr Averkau was a presenter in “Kontury” was on December 28. On January 4 Yauheny Lashkouski was the host of the programme, and Raman Paddubski on January 11.

Averkau was born on 1960 in Saratov region of Russia. He graduated from the drama school called after Shchepkin. He was placed on a job to the Belarusian TV. Since 2002 he worked at ONT TV channel. In 2006 he was awarded Francis Skaryna medal, and in 2010 he received the title of the distinguished worker of culture. By the way, Alyaksandr Lukashenka personally congratulated him on his 50th anniversary. Averkau is called the favourite TV host of the dictator.
