Belarus continues bringing sanctioned goods into Russia.
Charter97.org learnt it from Russia's agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor.
“Despite statements by the Belarusian party on the measures taken, the import of seven lots of sanctioned products from Belarus with a total weight of more than 93 tonnes has been banned this year because the products did not meet the veterinary and sanitary requirements of the Customs Union and Russia,” the agency says.
Rosselkoznadzor reports about two cases of issuing veterinary certificates by the body that was not authorised to give veterinary documents. There have been attempts to bring products of those Belarusian companies that have not been included in the register of companies and individuals that produce, process and/or store sanctioned goods within the territory of the Customs Union.
Other cases of violations of the rules and conditions of freight transportation were revealed. The products were not allowed to enter Russia.
Rosselkhoznadzor sent a letter to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, asking to carry out a check to find reasons for the violations and take measures to prevent such cases.
