The trial of the shop "Lohvinau" starts today

The process will take place in the Economic Court.

It is announced on page of the book shop "Lohvinau" on Facebook .

"January 5. The trial of the bookshop. We will be judged on January 5 (Monday) in Economic Court (Academic 15, Block 1). It is not far from the memorial house of Yakub Kolas. The trial begins at 3 p.m. Entrance is free", the statement said.

The iconic intellectual address of the Belarusian capital turned to be in danger of disappearance in December 2014. Unscheduled tax audit came in the shop «Lohvinau" earlier in December. They put seals on the room and seized documents for inspection. After inspection the bookshop was unsealed. But the bookshop was severely punished for working without the license of the Ministry of Information. On results of the audit held the bookshop was fined nearly Br1 billion, that was the income from book sales for the year. This money will be recovered by action.

The shop owner Ihar Lohvinau said that for the year he had applied eight times to the Ministry of Information for the license. And every time he got a refusal. One of the refusals was connected with incorrect postal code.
