Grybauskaitė: Eastern Ukraine struggles for peace in the whole Europe

Ukraine is fighting for peace in the whole Europe. It defends the sovereignty of all states and the rule of law in its territory.

Dalia Grybauskaitė, the President of Lithuania, stated that in her interview to BBC.

She said the last time she had seen Vladimir Putin in 2010 when he was the Prime Minister. The next meeting, she said, will happen "not in the nearest future and only if Russia will behave differently." Under such a behavior of the Russian Federation she clarifies "we can see the difference between a country that is protected, and the aggressor one, which not only attacks and support the terrorists, but behaves like a terrorist", wrote "Ukrainska Pravda".

According to the President, Lithuania already provides a wide range of military assistance to Ukraine: "We do everything possible. There are many forms of support: It is the participation in the Ukraine-Poland-Lithuania battalion, where Ukrainian soldiers can take trainings and the assistance of our instructors, and treatment of Ukrainian soldiers in our hospitals".

However, Grybauskaitė made it clear that that was the one side of military assistance. "The other points are kept in secret," she added.

Commenting on the refusal of the Russian President Vladimir Putin from realization of the project "South stream" Dalia Grybauskaitė said: "He didn't stop but he was stopped. The European Union, at least in this project, has shown the inadmissibility of the use of oil and gas reserves as instruments for political pressure ".

According to the Lithuanian President if Putin failed to stop "he would move further into Europe, using not only economic means".
