23 Members of Illegal Armed Units Detained in Belarus in Two Years

Among them are people who were linked with international terrorist organizations.

This was stated by head of the international security department of the State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus Alyaksandr Basalyha, Belsat reports.

“In 2014-2015 in Belarus were conducted 18 special operations, which allowed to identify and arrest 23 members of illegal armed units,” ria.ru quoted the official.

Alyaksandr Basalyha also said that in Belarus there are no preconditions for terrorist activities. “Referring directly to the situation in our country, I must note that Belarus has no preconditions for terrorist activities. The situation is stable and under control,” said Alyaksandr Basalyha.
