Poroshenko announced peace talk results: cease-fire and no autonomy of any kind

Poroshenko said that the tripartite contact group agreed to a cease-fire effective Feb. 15.

It is reported by Censor.NET citing UNIAN.

According to Poroshenko, the contact group also agreed on withdrawal of all foreign troops from the territory of Ukraine and agreed to release all hostages within 19 days.

"I have just been told that the Tripartite Contact Group signed the document which was prepared under huge stress and in difficult discussion. The main thing that has been achieved is the fact that unconditional and comprehensive cease-fire is declared effective 12:00 a.m. [Feb.] 15th, on Saturday night," he said.

"Chiefs of Joint Staffs of Ukraine and Russia will hold talks on Friday regarding the monitoring of the cease-fire in the Donbas," the president said.

Also, Ukrainian border guards shall resume control of the state border by the end of 2015.

According to the president, there are no agreements on any autonomy or federalization.

"It was not easy, and we were virtually posed with all kinds of unacceptable conditions, retreat, surrender. We did not yield to any ultimatums and clearly expressed the position that the cease-fire should take place without any preconditions," Poroshenko said.

Earlier, Ukrainian ambassador-at-large stated that Russia is bargaining for Debaltseve to be given to the terrorists.
