Blacklisted Belarusians to be turned back at Russian border

The system is to start working in the nearest future.

Citizens of Belarus, who are not allowed to travel abroad, would not be able to get to the territory of Russia. Such a statement has been made by the head of the Main Directorate of Federal Service of Court Bailiffs in Moscow Alexander Stebakov. As said by him, the single list of blacklisted debtors is to be received at the Belarusian-Russian border shortly, RIA Novisti informs.

Russian citizens, who are restricted to travel abroad, cross the border of Belarus with a Russian passport, buy a ticket to a foreign country there, and as Belarusian border guards do not have instructions to stop debtors, can fly away freely. Citizens of our country acted in the same way.

“As soon as the routine of cooperation with the Belarusian colleagues is mapped out, I think that there would be no problems: we have very similar border structures, and they have a system of enforcement of judgement,” Stebakov said to journalists on Wednesday.

He noted that the system is to start working “in the nearest time.” The concrete date is not specified. “Belarusian border guards are to have the same list as ours, and they would not allow debtors to cross the border,” Stebakov said.
