Minsk integrated house-building factory to work four-day week

Since March 13, workers are to move to a new work schedule.

Since next week Minsk integrated house-building factory is to have a four-day week, charter97.org website was informed by a reader Syarhei.

“We have been transferred to a four-days week, but a reservation is voiced: those who need it, should organize their work themselves. No one knows what it means, one can understand it anyway he wants. For example, I am a driver. We have two repair trucks, and I am not to work on Friday, and the driver of the second car is going to work.

They do not want to pay money, but they want everyone to work. It is our common problem, a trouble of our “wonderful” Lukashenka and our entire state,” he said.

Representatives of the company confirmed to charter97.org that there is a new schedule at the factory, but they noted it does not concern everyone.

We remind that recently many enterprises are moved to four-day and three-day weeks, that wages are not paid completely, and that wages are reduced. Besides, some employees are forced to take unpaid leaves. Thus, over the last 10 days, the editorial office of charter97.org has received reports from such enterprises as Gomselmash, Asipovichi plant of vehicle units, Svetlahorsk plant of reinforced concrete products, Babrujsk plant of tractor parts and units, Mogilevtransmash, Strommashina, MTZ, Gomeldrev, Minsk ball bearing plant, the Belarusian Railway, Vitsebskie Produkty and so on. It is connected to the deteriorating economic situation in the country.
