Russian troops are deployed in Transnistria and Belarus.
Ukraine should be on the alert for threats from the direction of Transnistria on the border with Odessa region.
The statement was made by Semen Semenchenko, member of parliament, deputy head of the parliamentary committee on national security and defence of Ukraine, commander of the Donbas special battalion, as he was paying a working visit to Odessa, the website 048 reports.
“There is a threat from Transnistria. Actually, we have threats from the Belarusian and Transnistrian directions, as well as from Russia. Russian troops are deployed there. They can cross the border at any moment at the order of the commander-in-chief, or under the guise of the so called 'self-defence forces' or as Russian troops. Of course, we have such a threat,” Semen Semenchenko noted.
