Search in flat of sole trader: symbols and goods confiscated

In the run-up to Freedom Day a “squad” of representatives of different operative services suddenly came to Anatoly Mirashnichenka.

From 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. secret services’ men carried out a search in the flat of the activist. As a result, representatives of the tax inspection drew up a report about an allegedly evidentiary purchase and seizure of goods. The search is related to activities of Anatoly Mirashnichenka as a sole trader, Belaruskaya Pravda reports.

However, representatives of operative services were looking for national symbols, posters, banners, which the activist could have stored at home before the Freedom Day.

“I think that this “action” in my flat was a pinpoint operation of special services aimed at thwarting my participation in the Freedom Day. The time of the search is speaking for itself,” he commented on the search in his flat.

Last year after the Freedom Day Anatoly Mirashnichenka was detained and sentenced to 10 days in prison.

The activist attended the rally with a flag with an ancient symbol of Belarusians, the Columns of Gedymin.
