Yarmoshyna proposes to hold 'elections' on October 11

The Central Election Commission proposes to hold presidential 'elections' on October 11.

Lidziya Yarmoshyna, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, informed journalists, BelTA correspondent reports.

According to her, this date is reasonable, as they will not have to call an early Parliament's session.

"The Parliament, before its leave on holiday, can declare this election campaign", she said.

The head of the Central Election Commission will address the "Parliament" so that it would take place on June 30. Lidziya Yarmoshyna thinks this day could be the beginning of the election campaign.

It should be reminded that since 1996 no elections in Belarus have been recognized by the international community. Since 2004 Yarmoshyna (after elections in 2010 she and other 200 Belarusian officials) has been denied entry to the European Union and the USA for election fraud.
