'Don't Chew the Rag', Drazdy Inhabitants Say

Original pieces of advice were given at the meeting of ROO White Russia.

Its Chairman Aliaksandr Radzkou recognized challenges in the economy, tut.by reports. And he advised to live within means to get out of the crisis as soon as possible. But he made some really strange examples.

- It is needed to know measure and comply with a common style in the country. For instance, you want a private jet, but it is unreal for now. And, perhaps, a cool car is not your style now, Aliaksandr Radzkou says.

It should be reminded that the salary of more than 60% of Belarusians does not reach an average one. It is clear they cannot even dream about a jet plane or a cool car. Radzkou himself has recently got a land plot in Drazdy.

Nadezhda Yermakova, ex-head of the National Bank of Belarus, tried to cheer up in her own way. She shared her own anti-crisis credo - "to make something new and move forward, it is needed to tighten belts and to spend less."

- If there is no money, a person is looking for other ways to earn it. If you have no money to buy a new clothe, you'll find a way to remodel an old one. In case with bed linen, you'd better fix it as well. I faced such period after the collapse of the USSR, Yermakova told. - The main thing is not to chew the rag. No one has starved to death in our country.

Such advice looks really strange, especially when her pension equals to Br8.5 million and her house in Drazdy was rented out for $6 000 a month.

After such statements it is hardly possible to divest of the idea that it is a far cry from people.
