Utility Bill Of Myasnikovich: Officials Pay Pennies For Public Utilities In Belarus.

54

How do you think, how much it costs to use public utilities in a cottage in Minsk?

It turns out to be incredibly cheap. At least it is so judging by a utility bill of a former Prime Minister and current "Senator" Mikhail Myasnikovich.

In August 2015, Myasnikovich was presented with a utility bill of… Br29 100!

“And this bill is not for a room in a communal apartment, but for a luxurious cottage in a cozy corner of Minsk”, - the chairman of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka noted under the photo of the utility bill posted on his page in Facebook.

“Mikhail Uladzimiravich likes to talk about socially oriented economy and the care the authorities show to the people. Especially he likes to do it in the mode of a monologue. He has even written a thick book about the Belarusian “economical miracle” under the ambitious title “Evolutionary Transformations in the Belarusian Economy”. These people have been transforming [the economy] for almost twenty years already. And judging by this utility bill they do it in a very, very peculiar way.

If the officials of Lukashenka’s regime, who take the most lucrative posts in the state, empty the budget till the last penny, then how can we talk about effectiveness and prospects of economic and social model? They offer people to tighten their belts, while subsidizing the maintenance of their own cottages that are worth millions of dollars. The cottages, which were built at the expense of the taxpayers.

And Myasnikovich is not an exception. He is part of the system. The cynical and shameless, impudent and greedy, hypocritical and deceitful system”, - Liabedzka comments under the photo.
