Lukashenka – To Khural Delagates: Polonaise Missile System Is My Gift To You

The Polonaise missile systems have been tested not at some deserted firegrounds, but in the heavily populated areas of Belarus, the dictator has boasted.

“Supplying the army with the newest arms and equipment remains one of the key missions in the military sphere. Without this, we will be unable to protect our lands. Our scientists, together with the organizations of the defense sector of the economy have elaborated and successfully tested the multiple artillery rocket system “Polonaise”. Moreover, the tests have been held not at some deserted firegrounds, but in the highly populated areas of Belarus,” — Lukashenka has mentioned in his speech at the “All-Belarusian Assembly”.

Lukashenka believes that rocket engineering may become a perspective sphere of manufacture for Belarus, creating of the “powerful deterrent weapon”, tut.by reports.

“It is already entering the service of our army, and will considerably strengthen Belarus’ defense capacity,” — the Belarusian leader has said.

“I must admit, [by creating “Polonaise”] we, together with the military men, wanted to make a gift to our whole country and the delegates of the fifth “All-Belarusian People’s Assembly”, — the head of the state has added.

The multiple artillery long-distance rocket system “Polonaise” has been created by the Belarusian organizations of the defense sector of the economy. Each battle unit of this system is capable of making a surgical strike at 8 targets simultaneously at the distance of over 200 kilometers. The chassis to the battle and transporter-loader vehicles of the multiple artillery rocket system “Polonaise” have been manufactured at the Minsk Plant of Wheeled Motor Traction Vehicles.
