The Economic Court of the Mahilyou region has started proceedings on the case of economic insolvency of the company “Fruktest”.

Information about this is available on the webpage of the Unified State Register of Bankruptcy.

The service providing enterprise “Consulting Bureau” was appointed to administer the procedure. Creditors' claims are accepted within 2 months. A hearing on the case is scheduled for 11 October, tut.by reports.

“Fruktest” is one of the largest importers of fruits and vegetables for the domestic market of Belarus with a network of offices across the whole country. Via this network of offices the company also sells its own products, which it produces on two farms located in Mahilyou region. Apples are grown in Mahilyou region, potatoes and vegetables – in Chausy region. Mahilyou entrepreneurs Vitaly Nis and Yauhen Shamesau are considered to be the founders of the company.

According to the data obtained from the Ministry of Economy for May, "Fruktest" was included in the register of business entities dominating in commodity markets in the category: wholesale trade of bananas and citrus fruits.

The previous name of the company was “Savit”. Vitaly Nis was the main founder of both structures. “There were objective reasons for that. I can not say more. Let’s say we had a re-branding,” – Nis commented on the change of the name and legal entity.

Previously, the importers said that the monetary crisis together with the state regulation of prices for fruit and vegetables had hit hard the financial situation of many companies.
