The Interior Ministry Security Department and the NPP Security Service are keeping watch over the strategic construction near Astravets at this point.

The Internal Troops unit №7434 is supposed to do it after the opening of the station. Its infrastructure is being built a few steps away from the plant, Nasha Niva reports with reference to the SWAT magazine.

The unit is to be headed by colonel Viktar Zhadobin – former KGB chairman and ex-Defense Minister Yury Zhadobin’s son.

“Now we consider about 300 fighters. But the number may change. Compulsory service militaries, as well as contract ones, will serve here. Contract personnel will get additional training in Russia’s National Guard units. They will be trained to deal with the advanced technical systems of protection, used on Russian fuel and energy objects, to organize the access control, physical protection and other nuances,” – SWAT cites Zhadobin Jr.

It is also reported that the unit will have its own special forces, only large departments can enjoy this privilege.
