New Posh Residence Belonging To Lukashenka Discovered

New Posh Residence Belonging To Lukashenka Discovered

There is a swimming pool, saunas, tennis-courts, a residential building for the servants and even a helicopter ground there.

The settlement of Sharshuny in Minsk district used to appear in the news only under two reasons until today: in 2009, the soldiers of the local military unit got too carried away with their game of “new boy bashing” and killed their 21-year-old comrade-in-arms, and in 2012 local residents found an illegal cemetery of livestock, full of dead pigs’ carcasses. However, this place keeps yet another secret, the most significant of all, so significant, that the locals only dare to speak about it in a whisper.

Does the place named Pralnya on the river Udra have any connections with Lukashenka?

Anonymous sources of “Belsat” and the inhabitants of the settlement of Sharshuny claim it does. According to their information, the construction of a posh residential complex for the Belarusian ruler, which he often visits, has been going on for several years and seems close to completion. Those who know about it claim that it has a swimming pool, saunas, tennis-courts, a residential building for the servants and even a helicopter ground…

It’s impossible to approach this building legally

The road sign near the place prohibits entering. Nevertheless, dozens of vehicles keep coursing up and down the short highway, which is being constantly cleared up by the special machines. Among them we met the swimming pool and hot tubes cleaning service. The only way is to leave a car and go there by foot. The entering gate is guarded by police, whom the locals advised to avoid. The territory is closed by a fence with video-surveillance. It appears the satellite images have become seriously obsolete. The territory looks more like a recreation center, not like a construction site. The helicopter ground is right there.

“Once they celebrated something here, and they arranged such fireworks, and sent balloons to the air – I have never seen anything like this even in Minsk, I can tell you,” – a local resident says.

State leader’s administration of the affairs handles everything

The land on which the complex is standing belongs to the state forestry entity “Krasnoselskoye” which subordinates to the Presidential Administration of the Affairs. There are rumours that Ukrainian investors tried to build a hotel here many years ago, and Russian oligarch Boris Berezovski also invested money here. The old developments were demolished to start a new construction. Why? The possible bossman is the one who can reply to that.

In 2015, “Nasha Niva” calculated that the state leader of Belarus has 16 estates all over the country.

Why building the seventeenth in such complicated times, in economic terms?

Well, maybe it’s confidentiality and security that the Belarusian leader appears so eager to find? There are only woods around, and the air defense detachment with C-300 complexes is located three kilometers away. And the scenery is beautiful – the new orange fence alongside the whole settlement of Sharshuny, and roads, cleared off snow.

“He knows he is the Tsar and he will not be punished for that. He tells us to tighten the belts, but as for himself, he can build the 17th, the 18th or the 38th residence if he wants to,” – journalist Sviatlana Kainkina says.

Sviatlana Kalinkina recalls that, after the visit to the pompous residence of former Ukrainian president Yanukovich with golden toilets, pheasants and a zoo, Aliaksandr Lukashenka was the only one who didn’t seem very much impressed.
