Website BAJ.BY suffered major hacking attack

Invalid queries were sent en masse to the website from unknown IP-addresses.

The website of the Belarusian Association of Journalists (BAJ) suffered a major DDoS attack on January 18.

According to the BAJ press-service, invalid queries were massively sent to the website from unknown IP-addresses. As a result, the server hardware went down, unable to bear the load. The site could resume its work in the morning on January 19, having forcibly shut down some feedback forms on the site.

The Belarusian Association of Journalists does not exclude that it will appeal to law enforcement agencies, if the attack repeats.
