REP Trade Union Gathered More Than 5000 Signatures To Annul Decree On "Parasitism" For Two Days

The trade union leader Henadz Fiadynich considers it a good start.

Chairman of the Belarusian Trade Union of Radio Electronic Industry Workers (REP) Henadz Fiadynich has reported to Radio Svaboda today that more than five thousand signatures have been already collected. They initiated this campaign together with the public organization Legal Assistance to Population.

During the first day we got three thousand signatures, – Fiadynich told reporters. – Today, at 14.00, we have five thousand. And it is only those who have signed the e-mail appeal. And there are signatures on paper. So it is safe to say that there are more than five thousand. We believe it is a good beginning."

According to him, regional activists copy the needed documents and collect signatures in public places.

We remind that on January 17, the REP trade union and the organization Legal Assistance to Population held the first press conference dedicated to the struggle for the abolition of the anti-constitutional decree on "parasites."

Following the results of the conference, it was decided to collect 200 thousand signatures under the demand to abolish the decree №3, starting with 18 February. If the authorities do not listen to the demand of 200 thousand Belarusians, the organizers of the anti- Decree campaign do not exclude mass protests.
