(updated) the Homel blogger has been released after 25 days of the administrative detention.
This has been informed by the detention center in Homel to his friends who came to meet him. The police officers said the blogger left home by foot, Radio Liberty reports.
Later on, the blogger’s wife Julia found out he was at home.
The blogger was supposed to be released on March 31. His wife, mother and friends waited for him outside the detention center. However, the guard on duty informed that Filippovich had been added 7 more days of detention, for participation in the “Non-Parasites March” in Maladechna. It turned out later that the administrative case for the participation in the demonstration in Maladechna had been considered by the Savetski district court of Homel on March 29. Judge Alena Shaina had punished the blogger with 7 days of administrative detention.
