Syrskyi Speaks About Fatal City For Russians

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told what was happening there.

Kharkiv could become a fatal city for the Russian troops if they try to occupy it again. Currently, large-scale comprehensive measures are being taken to strengthen the defence of the city.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi told Ukrinform.

Commenting on the risks of Russia's repeated offensive on the territory of the Kharkiv region, Syrskyi noted that all measures are currently being taken to relevant respond in case.

"To date, we carry out a large range of works on fortification equipment of territories and positions, establish a comprehensive system of barriers, and plan the use of our troops in the event of such actions," the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes.

He recalled that the Ukrainian defence forces already have experience of fighting in the Kharkiv region. Then it was possible to predict the actions of the enemy and free a significant part of it.

"It was then that there was a large-scale collapse of the Russian front. If the Russians move there again, Kharkiv will become a fatal city for them," Syrskyi said.

At the same time, he noted that the following possible defensive actions may vary greatly due to the uniqueness of each situation on the battlefield.
