Russians Panick Over ATACMS Strike Near Mariupol

New details of the AFU's successful operation.

Russian occupants in Donetsk region believe that the AFU used ATACMS missiles supplied by the West for strikes on Mariupol. This was reported by the Russian edition of TASS.

According to the publication, the so-called ‘advisor to the head of the Republic’ Igor Kimakovsky said that this can be evidenced by the range to the line of contact.

‘The range to the line of contact can easily testify to the fact that on Wednesday night our air defence means shot down ATACMS missiles near Mariupol,’ Kimakovsky said.

The Russian Defence Ministry said earlier that Russian air defence systems and aviation intercepted ten ATACMS missiles from April 12 to 19. In addition, six Storm Shadow missiles, five Hammer bombs and 1,278 AFU drones were shot down.

Despite the occupants' claims that they ‘shot down everything’ near Mariupol, the city's mayor's advisor Petro Andryushchenko reported on April 24 about successful strikes by the Ukrainian Defence Forces against the occupants' base in the village of Babakh-Tarama. According to the official, at least 10 hits on the occupants' location were recorded, and the number of Russians injured is at least 20.

‘The number of hits is at least ten. The number of dead - already seven. The number of wounded - at least 20 in total. All are officers, the soldiery is not stationed there. Fine,’ informed Andryushchenko.

On April 26, after the statements of the occupants about using ATACMS in Babakh-Tarama Andryushchenko wrote: ‘Babakh-Tarama, Mariupol district. Confirmation from the other side. As said - ATACMS. Beautiful.’
