Defense Intelligence Destroys Russia’s Newest Radar Station Worth $5 Million

Details of the unique operation have become known.

The group of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine “Gusi-9”, together with military personnel of the 15th Regional Brigade “Black Forest”, discovered and hit the newest Russian radar station 48Ya6 K-1 “Podlet”.

This is stated in a message from the Defense Intelligence on Telegram.

It is noted that a successful fire attack was inflicted on the antenna-feeder installation and the diesel station that fed the complex.

As the Defense Intelligence writes, the Podlet radar station is a relatively new Russian development. It began to be supplied to the Russian army only in 2015.

The cost of such a radar is more than 700 million rubles or more than 5 million dollars.

According to intelligence officers, the enemy used this radar to detect and transmit target coordinates to Russian S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems.
