In Russia, they complained about a repeated drone attack on the Volgograd Oil Refinery owned by PJSC Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka.

On the night of Sunday, March 12, explosions were heard there again, after which the fire broke out, according to Ukrainian media.

Local authorities say there were no casualties. Russian Telegram channels shared footage of the "explosive night" in Volgograd.

Some videos show the surprise of Russians that "something is flying" in the sky, while others show fire.

Propagandists clarified that several loud explosions near the plant in the Krasnoarmeisky district thundered around 02:30, and before that residents heard the characteristic sound of a UAV flight.

According to Russian sources, "enemy drones were suppressed by electronic warfare", but got into the territory of the enterprise and caused a fire.

The governor of the region, Andrey Bocharov, confirmed that there was a fire at the plant. At the same time, he said that the fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.

On the night of May 11, GUR (Ukrainian Defence Intelligence) drones also attacked the Volgograd refinery. At that time, crude oil distillation units and other equipment were hit.

Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka LLC is the largest producer of petroleum products in the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation, the plant's capacity is 14.8 million tons. Since 1993, it has been a 100% subsidiary of PJSC Lukoil.
