Political prisoner Syarhei Parsyukevich

The Maskouski district court of Minsk sentenced entrepreneurs’ leader Sayrhei Parsyukevich to two and a half years in a minimum security colony. The Vitsebsk businessman was arrested in Minsk on 4 March allegedly for “violent acts against a militiaman.” Not long before this Parsyukevich got 15 days of arrest in the special detention center on Akrestin Street for participation in the entrepreneurs’ rally in Minsk. According to Parsyukevich, on 21 January he was brutally beaten up by the detention center officer Alyaksandr Dulub. To avoid charges in excess of power, the militiaman accused Syarhei Parsyukevich of beating.
