Lyavon Barshcheuski and Zyanon Paznyak met in Warsaw

Head of the Belarusian Popular Front party (BPF) Lyavon Barshcheuski and head of the Conservative Christian Party of the BPF Zyanon Paznyak met in Warsaw on the occasion of publication in Poland two anthologies of Belarusian poetry.

Barshcheuski, who took active part in preparation of both books, was one of the hosts of the evening in the Polish PEN-Center, the BPF press service reports.

Zyanon Paznyak read his verses, translated into Polish by famous translator Adam Pomorski. After the party the politicians shared their opinions about the current situation in Belarus. Zyanon Paznyak assured the best reaction to the actions of the authorities was boycott of the coming election to the “house of representatives”.

Lyavon Barshcheuski put arguments for limited participating of the parties in the elections. The politicians also discussed the joint publication of memoir of members of the BPF opposition in the XII Supreme Council. Lyavon Barshcheuski and Zyanon Paznyak may have the next conversation as far as in the first decade of this July.
