Lukashenka to cooperate more closely with of Persian Gulf Arab countries

Alyaksandr Lukashenka said about “increasing role” of development of partner relations with Persian Gulf countries in the foreign policy of Belarus.

“Belarus pays great attention to further development of friendly relations with Persian Gulf Arab countries, based on trust and mutual understanding. This direction lays an increasing role in the foreign policy of our country,” A. Lukashenka said when receiving credentials fro, ambassadors of foreign states on Monday, Interfax reports.

“We are going to strengthen dynamically developing relations with our main Arab partner in this region - the United Arab Emirates,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka said.

According to him, appointing of an ambassador and opening a diplomatic mission of this state in Minsk shows “real interest of the Emirates in developing relations with Belarus”.

“I hope this fact will be an incentive to carrying out new investment projects of companies of Emirates in our country,” the Belarusian president said.

The head of state also thinks it is necessary to “develop ties with Saudi Arabia”.

“We should gather momentum in cooperation with Yemen in all directions, especially in economy. We have mutual interests here,” the president noted.

A. Lukashenka thinks “Belarusian-Pakistani relations may be more intensive”. “We are interested in expansion of deliveries of our agricultural equipment to this country, we are ready to cooperate with Pakistan in many other directions,” he told.

According to Lukashenka, Belarus welcomes accreditation of Indonesia’s ambassador in Belarus. “A matter of exchange of visas on high level is on the agenda of Belarusian-Indonesian relations. I am sure we can intensify our relations in all spheres after this,” the Belarusian president said.

He also told about constructive character of cooperation with the Philippines in the international arena. At the same time, Lukashenka said “our mutual relations should be given impact.”
